I'm back

I have had a busy few months, but I am back now. School is finally running smoothly, and my junior high girls small group ended last week. The children's AWANA club I run is finally settling into a routine and high school youth group and Sunday school are still the same. As I read those sentences, I am amazed that I have survived these last few months. God has blessed all of these groups and He is continuing to teach me how to be a better leader, teacher, mom, and (this week especially)wife. So what I have learned recently is that I love to serve. I love to be busy doing things for others, especially the things no one else wants to do. Hubby has called me on it as a way to avoid my feelings. May be some truth there that I still need to evaluate, but I have really enjoyed being able to serve so many different groups these past few months. It has left me pretty empty by the time I get home each day so for that reason I am glad that things are slowing down. I really need to do some writing so I can figure out what is going on in my head. Hopefully as I get more regular here I will see more clearly what God is trying to teach me.

I like how you said that you need to do some writing to figure out what is going on in your head. That's EXACTLY how I feel like I need to deal with my Tangle. (Can I capitalize that? Whoops! Guess I just did.)

Writing has always been my best "sounding board." And lately, I have precious little time to write -- and 95% of that time is consumed by the blog. I wish I had a weekend where I could do nothing but write for myself.
