This weekend marked 10 years of full-time ministry for my husband. I technically was still working for another year until our daughter was born so I am a little behind him. To celebrate he performed his first wedding Friday night! Ok, so it didn't have anything to do with us but just happened to be the date they chose for the wedding. My husband is very detailed and very wise so needless to say the ceremony was wonderful. He was very nervous because at the wedding was a professor from his seminary, and pastors of two large churches in the area. No pressure for a first time!
At church yesterday we served breakfast to everyone and had a prayer and worship service. God is moving in our group and really showing Tavis where he wants his focus to be now that he has graduated. I have started a small Bible study with some jr/sr high girls and Tavis is going to start meeting with a few of our young guys for prayer and counseling. So nice to have some direction and time to do ministry again!
Sorry about the lack of posting this summer. I have been reading War and Peace and the only time I get to read is after the kids are asleep. I get to a good part of the book and I have a hard time putting it down to read. SO, I have gotten very little sleep the last few weeks and therefore have not a serious thought going on in my head that I could write about! Once school starts (in 3 weeks!) I will be back on a normal schedule and have an overloaded brain again!
