God is Beautiful
For years I have lived in the desert. Everyone around me raves about the ocean and the weather while I long for snow and fall colors. I miss seeing a clump of flowers grow without irrigation. For the last few months a friend has been praying for me to enjoy living in California. Something I never thought about doing. I have always seen my time here as something I have to survive until God moves me on. But today my husband and I talked about things that we would miss if we moved back to the midwest. His word was buglessness. We love being able to do things outside without the bug factor. I would miss being able to plan activities without worrying about an "in case of rain" plan. God made the midwest BEAUTIFUL but God is awesome no matter where you are and He is showing me the beauty of this desert that He has me in for a while.

Praying for the "want to" can be truly miraculous. Lord, make me passionate about meeting with you daily. Give me desire for my husband. Make my heart thrill to the sound of my kids.
I don't want to make life an endurance test. That's not abundant living.
